April 29 - May 8, Forks & La Push, WA

Ok, we had to. I am a huge fan of the Twilight series and after this I had Deb hooked, too. Absolutely none of the movie was filmed here, but it was fun to imagine the events in the book actually taking place in the real Forks & La Push.

We camped next to Lake Quinault again on our way back around the Olympic Peninsula, headed toward my family's place just south of Seattle.

I loved this forlorn, half sunken paddle boat, like a kitschy pirate ship abandoned in a cove.

Flying from Seattle to Chicago for a friend's wedding. One of five volcanoes I could see from the plane. Magnificent.
